Outdoor Photography Tips and Tricks

When doing outdoor photo sessions, having to balance shade and lighting can be a bit tricky. With our Photography Tutorials, you will soon be able to master these tactics.
One of the most important things that we cover in this video is to simply avoid stark direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can cause the subject in a photo to have an overly washed out effect. An easy way to combat that in outdoor photography is to find an area that has some natural shade to it.
By utilizing a simply tri-grip reflector you will be able to avoid the harsh direct light, while also utilizing a softer and warmer tone from the reflector.
Whenever possible, try to avoid direct lighting unless you are going for a high contrast piece. Typically for fashion shoots or for portraits you would want to focus on creating that warmth that can come from following the tips in this tutorial.
